These are a few paintings of self-portraits I’ve done over the years. They capture my passion for both Music, and my attention to detail within Art. This is an acrylic painting of myself playing guitar on my bed at home, perched beneath an Iain Curtis poster, from Joy Division.
This project strengthened my drawing and general illustration skills by miles, and taught me a lot about attention to detail within shading and colour. Each of these paintings took at least a week and contain a mixture of mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, chalk, pastel, pencil and pen. It’s nice to have pieces of old fashioned drawings, before I was thrown into the digital side of Art and Design.
